All morning I have been working on a PLR product about affiliate marketing. I have been on this kick to put together my own product then I tried to put together a product about something else and it didn’t work the way I planned, I actually lost interest because I overcomplicated, then I moved on to this one and I am not delving too deep into making it perfect before I just make it functional and able to make me money.
Even with AI and all the new vocabulary and web-spaces, Affiliate Marketing is still a viable option. I look at it as evergreen.
People create products that sell but need time to fix or create a new product while others sell the quality products being created.
A few things I noticed today include a part of the checklist from this product that says:
Find and reverse engineer your competitors:
Use Google to find all your niche competitors
Enter all relevant niche keywords to find all competitors
Reverse engineer the ‘industry standard’ from your competitors’ sites and content
o how they convert traffic (platform aka blog? Search platform? Directory? Direct link?)
o layout
o content (hot topics and themes shared by most of your competitors)
o email collection system
I have this tendency to think I need to be able to see and know and profit from all aspects before I even try to profit from one.
I just realized another conflicting advisory from gurus:
- You’re leaving money on the table, hurry and stop all your leaks!
- No need to be perfect, just get out there and do it!
I get hooked by these things when trying to convert my knowledge into action and then into money in my pocket, sidetracked into a rabbit hole to another topic to another roadblock to another failed campaign and back to the drawing board.
It’s either determination or insanity that I keep coming back, expecting different results this time!
Well, I realized when I found the above topic on the checklist for my product I am creating from PLR, it coincides with what others on Youtube also say and what other books say.
This is a lot of work but is also necessary.
There are so many aspects and then so many approaches to each of those, it is fractal, just like everything else, when you make one decision the whole process begins again on how you are going to continue with your right now!
There are already countless books on countless subjects, and in the Bible, Ecclesiastes, I believe, it says something about how there is nothing new under the sun, vanity of vanities… and there are more and better ways to cite and contemplate it all, but it needs mention, is all.
This book is not new or marvelous but it will need to be sold, and, since I have it, it is in an evergreen market, and AI is here to help me, why not get my piece of the pie?!
I have a few of these products and tons of ideas.
Just like I mentioned above, how am I going to continue my now?
I am enjoying this process, knowing that there is a reward for what I am doing.
I can use many different marketing channels and sell this product to multiple people and then sell my next product to those people because they are on my list.
This is kinda weird though because I am building a list about how to build a list.
How does this work in your industry?
How do you build a list of new car buyers?
How do you keep your house inventory moving as a realtor or investor?
How do you find renters for your properties?
How do you get leads for any business?
The principles are the same – FRACTAL – in nature…
Right now, I am enjoying the part where I renamed the book and redesigned the main ebook cover.
Earlier this week I was working on a journal template to help me plan and track progress on long term projects, like building this new product, lead magnet, and website along with an email list and plan for marketing to this list!
I have to focus on one thing at a time.
Lots of the work is once in a while but the once takes quite a while!
I need to be patient and persistent in order to be profitable and remember that this works, trust the process, and keep moving forward…
#1 problem is that the product is not ready.
I am using AI to fix this.
This shouldn’t take long and I will need a new website. I am going to set this up, run a campaign, that I will use my journal sheets to work out the details of, see how profitable it is, or how badly I fail, I will need a stop loss and that sounds and feels bad to say.
I know that this works, most of the heavy lifting is done with the PLR and the AI.
If the marketing quickly pays back my investment more than once or twice in a row then I will keep and grow the site with the intent of starting another related one to either complement my sites or be sold for quick cash.
I like the concept of branding but I also like the “flexibility” of independent mini-sites, what do you think?
I am starting over with this affiliate marketing how to guide and selling it using paid advertising.
I can’t invest much so it needs to start paying me back right away or I will have to sell to minimize loss.
There is a chance I can document this on youtube, or just screen recordings and sell those to someone who wants to run my site by purchasing it from me!
This works and I have to make it work for me.
Stick around for access to the lead magnet, and possibly the first draft of the product for FREE since I will need feedback and some credibility.
I will be looking for ideas on what to do my next product on and if evergreen works for me or not.
Look at Plato, he’s still relevant today even though he’s been dead for thousands of years. That’s good branding or some evergreen markets at least. I should have chosen a better example but there are, surely, marketers and even philosophers, using the same centuries-old ideas and using them as their own, probably without even realizing it.
Comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged, please be relevant and helpful…
